You might be more familiar with the term heart attack. Thankfully she is now recovering in hospital.</p><p>We didn’t call an ambulance at the time, it didn’t follow the pattern you see in films (no falling to the floor clutching left arm) and it didn’t cross my mind that this could be serious. Mum went, on her own, from Anfield, Liverpool to Bahrain in the 1950&#8242;s as an IBM &#8216;stenog&#8217; (not that far from Babbage). Pretty flippin&#8217; amazin&#8217; as far as I am concerned and an inspiration to me since 1958. Especially fortuitous for this posting as that is where she met my Dad.
